Aaron Tandy Presents Wage Equality Webinar to Greater Miami Chamber

Pathman Schermer Tandy, LLP partner Aaron Tandy was recently the workshop presenter and  facilitator of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce webinar: “Addressing new approaches to creating wage parity, changes to minimum wage, overtime exemptions and universal income.”

The webinar was sponsored by the Chamber’s HR & Professionals Development Committee.

Attendees learned:

  • The difference between pay parity and pay equality concepts
  • Recent efforts to introduce pay parity legislation
  • The new DOL rules regarding increasing the pay thresholds for exemption from overtime
  • Changes to Florida’s minimum wage and efforts of individual communities to push for higher wages
  • Universal income

Tandy heads the Pathman Schermer Tandy, LLP Commercial Litigation Department and is head of the firm’s Employment Law Section.
