Pathman Schermer Tandy, LLP Attorneys and Firm Recognized in 2017 South Florida Legal Guide

Pathman Schermer Tandy, LLP has been named a “Top Law Firm” in the 2017 edition of the South Florida Legal Guide. The publication has also honored Partners Wayne Pathman, Harold Lewis, and David Sacks.

According to the South Florida Legal Guide’s publisher, the selection of “Top Lawyers” is based entirely on peer nominations from attorneys across Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. The publication is considered a premier resource guide that serves the business community in the tri-county regions.

Pathman heads the firm’s land use, zoning, and environmental law section, while Lewis is head of the firm’s real estate and banking departments.

Pathman represents businesses, developers and individuals before administrative and regulatory bodies at the municipal, state and federal levels in land use, zoning, and environmental matters.

Pathman is the chair of the City of Miami’s Sea Level Rise Committee. He brought sea level rise to the forefront in Miami Beach and Miami. He is the chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Lewis is an experienced real estate corporate and transactional lawyer. His areas of practice include real estate and asset-based lending, loan workouts and debt restructuring, and real estate acquisition and development, including condominiums. He represents numerous businesses, both large and small.

Lewis a longtime member of the Board of Directors of the Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida (CIASF) and has served as its president.

Sacks focuses in the areas of real estate, land use, zoning and environmental law.

He provides legal advice for the negotiation and structuring of major land acquisitions, determination of zoning and property rights and entitlements, and due diligence analysis for complex commercial and residential real estate acquisitions including the securing of required development permits and approvals. To that end he regularly appears at public hearings before city, county and the State of Florida legislative and administrative authorities.
